The Artist
Alex Sherlock is a ceramic artist who began his creative journey in 2018, following a life-changing brain injury. Before discovering the world of ceramics, he spent most of his career as a landscaper, shaping the outdoors, a skill that now influences his ceramic artworks. In working with clay, Alex connects with nature in a new way.
Ceramics, with its tactile and grounding qualities, has become a vital part of his life. The feel of clay between his hands offers a sense of calm and relaxation, "I like making something from nothing," he says "Creating something no one else has thought of makes me feel good, I enjoy putting a smile on people’s faces" Alex’s ceramics are expressions of imagination, intuition, and his deep love for nature.
